The
availability of flights increases throughout the holiday period, with scheduled
flights flying direct to the black sea airports of Varna and Bourgas as well as
hundreds of holiday charter flights. During the winter scheduled flights direct
to the coast are reduced it is common to fly into the capital Sofia and then on
an internal flight to the coast. These flights are relatively short and the
transfer in Sofia airport is easy due to the airport being relatively small.
The locations of all of the airports make it easy to travel throughout Bulgaria. With good transfer links by rail and road from the airports to the resorts.
Varna airport is only 15mins away from the Prince Bishops apartments by car and there is a taxi rank and bus stop within 100m of the plot.
Return airfares from the UK to Bulgaria start from as little as £120, and with interest being shown from budget airlines these prices should hopefully fall.
Once in Bulgaria traveling around is remarkably cheap and easy. With its safe and clean train system, traveling from Sofia to Varna cost around £7 return. A distance of around 400 km, the equivalent of London to Manchester. Bulgaria also offers other means of reliable cheap transportation in the form of busses, coaches, trams and taxi.
